These cute, yummy treats come just in time for Valentine's Day! I was inspired to try these after reader Karen commented on Facebook that she was going to try these lemon cookies using a Cherry Chip cake mix. I wanted to make them a little bit different than the lemon cookies, so instead of dipping the dough into powdered sugar, I drizzled the cooled cookies with white chocolate. The result was a super soft, chewy cookie with a little bit of crunch from the sweet white chocolate drizzle. The drizzle "fancies up" the cookies...but although they might look professional, they're really quite easy to make.

The first time I read the ingredients for this recipe I thought "no way is this going to work." But I was wrong, and I'm glad! These soft-and-chewy cookies are a nice change from the typical chocolate treats served during the holiday season. Make them tiny and add them to your candy platters, or make them a little larger and put them in your kids' lunches.

I have three different pumpkin-cream-cheese recipes that I've been waiting to share...and Meijer finally put some of the ingredients on sale for this one :) We loved the rich, fall flavor of these moist treats! These bars are an easier (and more dense) version of the classic pumpkin cake roll. They'll disappear quickly when you serve them for Sunday coffee or pack them in your kids' lunches.
[This recipe was first posted in conunction with the Meijer Ad week of 9/30/12-10/6/12] I tend to associate different seasons with different foods, and of course, what would fall be without apple recipes? I love the cinnamony-smell that wafts through the house when I'm baking these deliciously soft-yet-chewy bars. They're quick to throw together, and they're perfect for lunches. Oh, and your house will smell wonderful while they're baking! Enjoy!

Our family loves fudgy, chewy brownies! Fresh out of the oven or cold, plain or frosted, brownie sundaes, as a dessert crust...any way you serve it, we'll eat it. And the basic Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies that come in the red box are our favorite! That's why I knew I wanted to try this recipe as soon as I saw it mentioned on Money Saving Mom.

Lofthouse Cookies. You know, those soft, melt-in-your-mouth, super-sweet-but-still-so-good frosted sugar cookies that are sold in the bakery section of your grocery store? They're stacked in plastic trays, and the color of the frosting and sprinkles depends on what holiday is around the corner. You know what cookies I mean, right? The ones that are so appealing, the ones your kids beg you to buy. And sometimes you (OK, I) give in! And then you (OK, I) eat just as many as the kids because they are soooooo good in spite of having all those preservatives and ingredients that we can't pronounce on the label!

These delicious, fudgy bars have the same flavor as a topsy-turvy cupcake, but require less prep time. If I bring a meal to someone, these brownies usually accompany the meal...and they're always a hit!

Here's another great recipe from Andrea over at Simple Organized Living. She has no qualms about baking from a box or a package...a girl after my own heart! These bars couldn't be any easier, but the result is delicious!

This recipe was created out of desperation...and sometimes those kind are the best! The inspiration for these treats came from an old-time favorite: Scotcheroos. Substitute Honey Nut Cheerios for the Rice Krispies, and voila, you have Peanut Butter 'n' Honey Bars. But wait! We have options! If you leave off the frosting, these bars taste almost exactly like a peanut butter and honey sandwich. If you have a thing for chocolate (who, me?), then add the frosting. Enjoy!
This version of the chocolate chip cookie is my family's new favorite. If you love chewy cookies, then this recipe is for you! They're perfectly chewy and delicious, and they stay that way even if you don't refrigerate them. There's really only ONE ingredient from the recipe on sale this week (ad week 3/18/12-3/24/12 ~ flour - $1.59/5 lb bag), but I just couldn't wait to share this recipe any longer! That, and, well, Meijer just didn't give me much to work with this week.

These bars have almost the same taste and chewy consistency of their more expensive siblings, but they are fairly cheap to make because they use almond extract instead of almond paste.
